MOORESVILLE - Lucy Catherine Neal Griffis, 54, of Mainview Dr., Mooresville, died Thursday, August 29, 2002, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville. Born on April 25, 1948, in Greensboro, NC, she was a daughter of Carl R. and Doris G. Neal. Mrs. Griffis worked for Brian Center Health & Retirement, Mooresville. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Mooresville.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffis is survived by her children, Katrina Gee Griffis and fiance, Andy Cauble, and Nathaniel Asher Griffis, both of Charlotte; brother, Carl R. Neal, Jr. and wife, Sheila, of Charlotte; and special friends Jeannie Arthur and Tim Kiser, of Mooresville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M, Saturday, August 31, 2002, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, with Dr. S. Edwin Lewis officiating. A graveside service will be held at 4 PM. Saturday, August 31, 2002, at Belews Creek United Church of Christ, Belews Creek, NC. The family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 PM, Friday, August 30, 2002, at Cavin Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, and at other times at the home of her parents; Carl and Doris Neal, 354 Shoreline Loop, Mooresville.
