Obituary

A former Mooresville resident—Mrs. Lois Stutts Orr, 29, of 4214 Sudbury Road, Charlotte-died in the Charlotte Memorial Hospital Saturday following a brief critical illness.

She was the wife of J. L. Orr.

A native of Iredell County, Mrs. Orr was born on July 30, 1948, a daughter of J. Frank and Grace Alexander Stutts of Charlotte.

Mrs. Orr was associated with the Charlotte architectural and engineering firm of Wilber, Kendrick, Workman and Warren.

She was president of the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction and she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Soriety and the First Christian Church of Charlotte.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Orr is survived by; one son, Scott Coone of the home; one brother, Charles A. Stutts of Oak Harbor, Wash.; and two sisters, Mrs. Vinnie White and Mrs. Lynn Koffler, both of Charlotte.

Funeral services for Mrs. Orr were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Harry & Bryant Chapel in the Oaks in Charlotte, with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery in Charlotte.
