Obituary

Timothy "Tim" Ray Fries, 68, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home.

He was born on February 9, 1948 in Salisbury, to the late Raymond Cornelius and Mary Elizabeth Brown Fries. Tim was a lifelong farmer and a district operations manager at Ferrellgas for over 30 years. He was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville, where he served on the Heritage Committee and as a youth leader, usher, Deacon and Elder elect.

Tim is survived by his wife, Lynda "Sis" Benfield Fries; daughters, Lisa Fries, Holly Lipson and her husband, Nate; sister, Janielle Watkins and husband, Roy; and grandchildren, Webb, Sam, and Libby Montgomery, Maddie and Maisy Lipson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9 at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. Woodrow Freeze III and Rev. Dr. Tom LaBonte officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 8 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Development Fund of Prospect Presbyterian Church, 9425 NC Hwy 152, Mooresville, NC, 28115.
