Obituary

Robert “Bobby” Leonard Brown, 65, of Lorenzo Ln., Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville. Born November 25, 1945, in Mooresville, he was a son of the late John Garland and Della Collean “Teen” Wallace Brown. Mr. Brown was retired foreman, water & sewer maintenance for the Town of Mooresville having 30 years of service. He attended The Cove Church. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Wayne Brown. He is survived by his wife, Kay Blackwelder Brown, whom he married April 19, 1970; son, Loren Travis Brown, of Mooresville; sisters, Linda Oliphant and husband, Jeff, of Kannapolis, Glenda Karriker and husband, Kermit, and Jean Freeze and husband, Tim, both of Mooresville; and granddaughter, Kaylynn Brown. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, with Rev. Larry Paulk officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:30 PM, Friday, August 19, 2011, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Cove Church, 197 Langtree Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the family of Mr. Brown.
