Obituary

CONCORD -- Mrs. Morgan, age 58, of South Circle, passed away Sunday morning at NorthEast Medical Center. Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Leon Smith. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Linda was born February 28, 1948 in Mooresville, NC to the late Lester and Mary Robertson Barkley. She was retired from Cabarrus County Tax Collector's office as a supervisor. She was also a member of the N.C. Tax Collectors Association.

Linda is remembered by family and friends as a beautiful wife, loving mother, grandmother and wonderful friend. She loved the beach and spending time during SOS Week, 'shagging on the beach' with Farris and her friends. Linda will be remembered for her love of life and that she lived every second to the fullest extent. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and loved having her friends over just to spend time together.

Linda is survived by her husband W. Farris Morgan; daughters Amy Garrow and husband David of Concord and Kim Drake and husband Chris of Powhatan, VA; son Chad Morgan and wife Brandi of Kannapolis; grandchildren Caleb and Justin Garrow, McKenna Morgan, Josh, Seth and Cameron Drake.
